2025 Wedding Planning
Congratulations on your newly engaged status and welcome to the world of wedding planning.
It needed be the minefield that everyone says it is, I mean, it CAN be but equally it can be smooth sailing if you follow these simple tips.
1. Choose your venue
Once your venue and date is confirmed you can now set a theme. A theme for your wedding is very important as it ensures everything hangs together beautifully. And I don't mean like a 'Harry Potter' wedding theme or a 'Star Wars' theme although you can if you wish. Moreover I mean a style e.g. vintage chic, hues of pink, lavender and coral or boho.
2. Choose your wedding stationery
Again, keeping with your theme or style, choose stationery which reflects this vibe. So if your theme is simple minimalist then ensure this is reflected in your Save the Dates and wedding invitations. So too will this theme continue into your reception stationery when you choose your wedding table plans, wedding guest books, place cards, table numbers and wedding order of service booklets.
3. Choose your wedding flowers
Following on from your chosen style and echoing the sentiments of the season as well as your chosen venue, it is time to choose your flowers - bouquets, button holes and table centrepieces. Speak to your florist about options - it will keep the cost down if you choose seasonal blooms and will look more 'appropriate' in your wedding photographs.
4. Decide on your menu
A food tasting session is often organised by wedding venues as included in your chosen package. It seems unimportant but actually it is a very good idea to test everything your guests will eat on the day itself.
5. Decide on your entertainment
Choosing a wedding singer or a wedding band or a DJ or even a combination of them all is very important. It is a good idea to go and see the band or DJ live before you book them to make sure it is the kind of thing you want.
Of course, choosing your honeymoon destination, your hen and stag nights and your wedding cake are all important strings to add to your bow in your wedding symphony but as long as you have the key details in place, the rest, as we said before will be plain sailing.
We are proud to offer lots of different notebooks which can be personalised on the front and are a great way to jot all those ideas down for the big day. These can be found at 'Notebooks'.
